Christopher Kane's S/S'11 collection, a vision in neon lace and laser-cut leather, was quite a shock to the system for those of us who could barely remember any colour other than camel. But as scary as it first may seem, neon is in many ways easier to wear than some staid block colours. The best example of this is pink. I've spoken before about how wary I am when it comes to wearing pink, because I can't seem to get the picture of grown women in baby pink hoodies out of my mind (yuck). Neon pink, however, is a whole different ball game. It's the sexy older sister of sickly sweet baby pink and could be just what you're looking for to perk up an outfit of grey, black or nude. Enter this amazing Kane-alike shirt from New Look. The transparent lace lets you show just the right amount of skin (again avoiding little girl connotations), while the vivid neon colour is just perfect. Team it with grey ponte trousers and sky-high heels for an athletic look, or slip on a black pleated skirt and add a contrasting bright nail varnish. It's selling out fast online, but at this price it's surely worth a trip to the shops.
