today i love... columbine smille

Another day, another new style icon. Today I've discovered another amazing blog in much the same vein as Carolinesmode.com, which I waxed lyrical about the other day. Columbine.freshnet.se is the work of the sickeningly beautiful Swedish stylist Columbine Smille, and, man oh man, does this girl give good fashion. Much like Caroline's site, Columbine's blog is a treasure trove of beautifully shot pictures of her fashion inspirations, favourite new buys and, most excitingly, her own outfits. And let me tell you, they are seriously good outfits. Columbine showcases a staggering array of beautiful clothes, whether showing off her mile-long legs in skinny jeans and sky-scraper heels, shrugging on oversized furs and tailored blazers, or heading out in skintight minidresses and bright orange lipgloss. She's not afraid to offset black staples with flashes of bright colour, be it a coral sundress, brightly patterned trousers, a huge purple fur coat or blood red shoes.

As with Caroline Bromst, Columbine proves that looking good is all about attitude. Her confident stance, model-worthy pout and unabashed love of her own looks ensure that she wears the clothes, and not the other way around. Her attitude elevates these outfits from well put-together to truly inspirational. And perhaps the best thing about her blog is that many of her pieces come from the likes of Topshop, Zara and H&M, which is good news if you aspire to look like Columbine as much as I do. It's also proof, as I have always attested, that it makes little difference how cheap or expensive your clothes are: it's all about the way you put them on.
