today i'm wearing...

Topshop white mesh bomber jacket

3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli medium burgundy

Isabel Marant black Dicker boots

Larsson & Jennings CM silver watch

First of all, sorry for being such a bad blogger lately. So busy with work, studying for an extra exam and trying to buy a flat that I barely have time to take any outfit photos, let alone post any. Anyway, must try harder!

So here's what I wore last weekend to take my little sister to Bicester Village for a lovely Saturday evening browse. If you haven't been there before, you're missing out. It's the opposite of what you might think of when you think discount shopping: it's a beautiful place and a seriously upmarket, relaxed shopping experience (and they have a crêpe stand!) Every time I go there I am tempted to part with some serious cash (and usually give in). So far I've picked up my beautiful black Mulberry Alexa for a third off, some Burberry heels and a purse each at a quarter of their RRP, some Linda Farrow sunglasses for a mere £67, not to mention lots of goodies from my favourite store there, which stocks hundreds of discounted beauty brands (think MAC, Bumble & Bumble, Origins, Bobbi Brown, Darphin and more).

This time it was the newly opened Givenchy store which nearly gave me heart palpitations. The mini Obsedia bag has been at the top of my wish list since I can remember, and when I walked in there and saw it I nearly passed out. At a third off, in scarlet or royal blue, I've never been so tempted in my life. Two things stopped me: the aforementioned flat buying, plus the colours. Ideally I'd want one in black, khaki or navy. So I walked away, and I'm equally impressed with myself and heartbroken over it. I've promised myself however that if I pass my exam, I'll go back at the end of the summer and see if it's still there. One thing's for sure: there's no way in hell I'll be able to walk away from it twice.

Do take a visit yourself though: I particularly love the pop-up British Designers Collective they host each summer, which stocks pieces by all the best young London labels like Eudon Choi, Jonathan Saunders and Sophia Webster at bargain prices.

today i love… the monday wish list

I love how the broderie fabric of this skirt immediately makes the sheer panel less racy than it would otherwise be, and yet it's still a lot more interesting than most black pencil skirts. Perfect dressed down with a white t-shirt for work or up with a racer-back cropped top at night.

I received a mini sample of this bath oil in the Space NK beauty box I indulged in a couple of weeks ago, and I have literally never smelled anything better. Seriously: best smell ever. And that's coming from a woman with a serious scented candle addiction. A tiny splash of this in your bath and you will be transported to the best home spa you could ever have wished for. All you need to go with it is a crisp glass of wine and a magazine. Bliss.

All the best products from my number one make-up brand all packaged up in the perfect gift set. Is it OK to buy myself a present for no reason?

Still obsessed with H&M home. My latest interiors phase is glass domes over scented candles. This one's ideal.

I know, who'd have thought it - I still can't get enough of ugly sandals. These white Birkenstocks are pure orthopaedic footwear perfection.

It's very rare that I like anything pink. It's definitely my least favourite colour. But very occasionally I see an item that makes me change my mind. I have to say this shirt has totally won me over. I think it's the luxury of the silk and the classic nature of the design that stops it from being too girly, or silly, and instead just makes it a really, really great shirt. Sold.

today i'm wearing...

Topshop white Jamie jeans

Topshop black three strap sandals

Whistles quilted leather jacket

Alexander Wang Prisma tote

Double denim is quite tricky to pull off; nobody wants to look like Britney and Justin circa 1999. I'm not brave enough to try full blue-on-blue, but I am very partial to teaming a denim shirt with white or black jeans. Oh and leather. Always leather.

today i'm wearing...

Topshop black Jamie jeans

Zara quilted leather slides

& Other Stories ostrich effect crossbody bag

Topshop white airtex bomber

I'm trying to wear flats more often to give my knees a bit of a break (turns out wearing heels all the time isn't that great for you - who knew?!) Luckily it's not difficult when you have these deliciously ugly/beautiful slides to turn to. They go with everything and somehow make any outfit look better.

today i love… i love mr mittens

No, that's not a typo… I Love Mr Mittens is an Australian knitwear brand which has caught my eye in recent weeks. Kind of seasonally inappropriate, but my fashion whims recognise no such practical bounds. I love the idea of a label that only does one thing, and does it really well. The brand's supersized sweaters, beanies and scarves are hand knitted to order in a rainbow of colours. You know I'm a knitwear fanatic and the more oversized, the better, so needless to say I'm salivating to get my hands on one of these delicious beauties. Two drawbacks: the prices ain't cheap (sob) and neither's the international delivery. But hey, maybe I'll start saving now and will be able to afford one of them (preferably the cropped sweater) by the time it gets cold enough again to wear it. Sounds like a plan to me.

I Love Mr Mittens cropped cable knit
