After being quite good in September, I've gone and blown my October shopping budget already. It's not my fault, really; after all, when Grazia offers 25% off at Whistles, it would be rude not to make the most of it. So I decided to splash out on this super soft, quilted leather biker which is reminiscent of possibly my most longed-for item of clothing of all time, a Burberry leather jacket from a few seasons ago. Additionally I'd been trying to decide which piece of the Topshop Unique collection to invest in, and after two of the jackets I'd been eyeing up sold out before I could take the plunge (hate when that happens), and the burgundy coat didn't look quite right in the flesh, I plumped for this beautiful fluid silk shirt dress. The dilemma is this: I'm only going to keep either the jacket or the dress. But which will it be...? The trusty classic - expensive but long-lasting, admittedly not adding anything new to my wardrobe given that I already have a handful of leather jackets - or the much more of-the-moment dress, which will lend a new angle to my A/W wardrobe but which I might tire of in a few months? Answers on a postcard please (or just in the comments box)... In any case, at least I know I will be keeping this lovely little snakeskin clutch. Of that much I am sure.
