today i want... zara floral print dress

Last year I had two weddings to attend and seriously struggled to find the right thing to wear. When you think about it there are so many rules: nothing white, nothing black, nothing too short or low-cut, nothing too attention-grabbing but nothing too low-key. That doesn’t really leave you with a whole lot of options. Anyway, when I came across this amazing dress on Zara’s website my first thought was: that would be absolutely perfect for a wedding. It’s simply cut but elegant; the print is interesting and fashion-forward without being too wild or in-your-face; it’s eye-catching but not over-the-top. It also has more than a hint of Mary Katrantzou about it, don’t you think? The best part, though, is the price, leaving you enough money left over to splash out on the gift list. I’d probably team it with very minimal accessories and let the print speak for itself: simple strappy heels and a box clutch. Of course I don’t actually have any weddings to go to this year, but it’s so nice that I may just buy it anyway.

  1. On the same wavelength here...
I have 3 weddings to go to this summer and landed on this dress too... The print was captivating! I was worried it might be seen as a little loud, but I was reaffirmed after reading your post! Thanks!
