today i'm channelling... sabrina meijer

Every day I get a little more obsessed with Sabrina Meijer's fantastic blog, afterDRK. If you don't already read it, then I insist you check it out now. Sabrina has an unfailingly brilliant sense of style and an uncanny ability to look effortlessly fashionable in every single outfit post. Her latest look in particular got my fashion heart a-beating (see it here). I've been lusting after Current/Elliott's leopard jeans for quite some time now (besides, I've always felt an affinity with a brand which must share my frustration at never having the name Elliott spelled correctly...) Caroline Blomst has been showing them off in several colourways lately, while Elin Kling paired hers with a to-die-for Phillip Lim clutch. But it was Sabrina's faultless outfit which made me go in search of a cheaper option. Printed jeans can be difficult to wear because you have to keep the rest of the outfit simple, which often doesn't leave you much to work with. But follow Sabrina's failsafe formula and you can't go wrong: throw on a chunky neutral-coloured knit and finish with simple black heels and a belt to break it up and add interest. Above I've chosen some high street options so that you can recreate this Dutch blogger's brilliant look for yourself. It won't surprise you to learn that I've already ordered those Dorothy Perkins jeans...
